I can't stop that well, or move both my ski's in the same motion when going down hill, for example... turning side ways to stop..... any pointers?

  1. take ski lessons or have someone who is an advanced skier give you some lessons.

  2. Let's start with the basics, Tighten your ski boots, balance properly over your skiis,  Go to a gentle slope and practice  turning both ways.  Which ever way you turn, narrow your wedge and stand tall, turn both feet in the same direction at the same time.

Put more weight on one ski, then the other, balance over the big toe edge of the downhill ski.  This should give you confidence and increase your skill level for turns.

  3. Do you want her as a best friend or a neighbor? The worse thing to do is not say or do anything about it. You're not a bad person if you don't want to answer the door when you're busy

  4. ohhhh darsh you pizzaed when you should have french fried

  5. Sounds to me like you're not committing your weight; i.e., center of gravity over one ski or the other. One way to practice transfer of weight from one ski to another is to practice on an almost flat slope with just enough angle to get you going slowly. Don't bend at the waist; bend at the knees, keeping your waist centered. Then make upward movements, and at the same time put the weight down on one ski while you sort of lift up the other. A lot of skiing has to do with keeping your center of gravity over the boots, not bending at the waist and learning weight transfer.

  6. Take a lesson. Sounds like you need to get the basics down.
