  1. this would obviously be pricey but if you're willing to pay it would be pretty cool to have john mccain.

  2. What works best is either:

    the Hankie (grandmother's)

    a piece of jewelry (Mom's or Grandmother's)

    or a PENNY that is 50 years old at least.

  3. My something old was my mom's locket that had pictures of my grandmother and my fiancee's dad (all three are deceased).  I also picked up a lace hanky from an antiques store and had a penny from the year each of us were born in my shoe.

    You can always combine your "something old" with "something borrowed" and ask a family memeber to use an heirloom piece...even if you just put it in your boquet.

  4. Something old:

    You can always get one of those silver sixpences on eBay and that can be both the old and the sixpence, or get an old piece of jewelry from an antique store. Or just wear something from your closet. It just depends on what you consider old. I'm wearing a veil that came second-hand from a theatrical production. That's old enough for me!

    Something new:

    Anything you just bought for the wedding.

    Something borrowed;

    It's supposed to be borrowed from a longtime happily-married couple.

    Something blue;

    To ward off evil spirits and represent purity.

    ...and a silver sixpence in her shoe:

    Ideally the left shoe. I got a silver Liberty dime.

  5. My stuff was..

    Something Old - My mothers ring which I had made into a necklace she has passed way so this was important to me.

    Something New - My fiance bought me diamond earrings to wear

    Something Borrowed - I used my sisters white gloves

    Something Blue - A friend gave me a very pretty blue laceish hankie which I am tucking into my bra.

  6. Perhaps a nice piece of jewelry that

    you've treasured for many years.

    A necklace, brooch, earrings or

    hair accessory.

    It's always nice to have an old lace

    hanky tucked into your sleeve or

    somewhere on the bodice of your

    dress, in case you start to cry.

    An older friend or relative might

    have one they'd be delighted to

    give you for your special day.

    Congratulations.
