  1. Starvation and heavy exercise.  Spend a lot of time in the sauna of your local health club.

  2. You can wrap a plastic bag around your stomach for several days. This will cause you to lose some water gain. You also need to exercise every day.

  3. Know exactly what you are going thru!!! I am 65 inches allowed weight is 152 and I am 178. So for one when they measure around your neck swallow or just try to make it a little fatter. (Practice in the mirror know how to do it but can't explain it) The fatter the neck is the better, because they subtract that from the subtotal of your waist and hips. Squeeze your buttocks in that will help also. Now I don't know how you feel about diet pills but hydroxycut is what I always use to help me cram for a tape test. Also buy you a tape measure and keep a check of what your measurements yourself.

  4. When my husband went from guard to active he had a LONG way to go to make weight/tape, but fortunately had a little more time than you have. Here is what we did. Do NOT starve, but eliminate all carbs. That is no bread, rice, pasta, refined sugars. You can have all the meat, eggs, cheese, sour cream, salad, salad dressing that your heart desires. Just check the carbs on the label and keep them as low as possible (no more than 20 a day). Dont do this for long, just til you make tape. You WILL lose weight but as soon as you start eating the avoided foods, you will gain it back.

Exercise and sit in a sauna. Take water pills and drink water. Sit in a sauna as much as possible. Slather Preparation H on your parts to be taped and wrap in saran wrap. Trust me honey, our life depended on husband making tape so he could go active and he did it. You do what you gotta do! Good luck!

  5. You should aim to lose 3-8 pounds per month.  That is what the Army recommends anyway.

Run, run, run.  When you get tired, run some more.  If you have a running profile, use an eliptical, bicycle, anything cardio.
