I really NEED some answers!?

I applied for a job online like in mid July after they told me their rooster machine was broken. My sister told me that they were hiring too, which got my hopes up. I waited and waited but they never called. Yesterday, my dad told me he saw new employees there. I don't know if they applied before or after me. Should I have called the store to let them know even if the site didn't say so? It said my application would be active for 60 days (It's probably been around 50 days now) and on file for a year. What's that mean? Will they call when it's finally day 60? My dad said I should go to that place and ask them. Even my Yahoo Horoscope sounds right (Aquarius)!! I'm kind of scared to go there since I feel awkward about confronting the people I want to hire me. Please please please help me!!??

I would go to the store and ask to fill out an application.  Tell them that you filled out an application on-line and that you are concerned they might not have received it.  If the manager is there, maybe ask politely if he can check to see if he has the application (if not, fill one out right there).  If he has the application, you could ask him if there was a specific reason why you weren't called.  Do not be confrontational.  Also, dress neatly (shirt tucked in, no baseball cap, etc.) and speak clearly.  Try to impress him and make him see you are eager to work, but don't be over-eager.
