Hello:

I've been trying to land my dream job as a Personal Assistant for some time now. It's not easy or the same as an Admin., executive or office Assistant. I also want to be a Hostess in a law office as an alternative. How do I get these jobs without waiting for an ad in the paper, or me advertising in the paper (didn;t work) or advertsing on websites (didn't work). What is the best way to find an employer who needs a Personal Assistant? (all of my other methods, including posters, have failed. Please help me.

  1. Ask around at the office you're

in, discreetly.  Find out if you

    can get that position through

    the office.

    Take notice of posted jobs.

See if anyone is looking to

    hire a PA.

  2. You sound like your someone who's quite interested in this type of field. Aside of all there other great advice you have recieved, maybe put a resume on the job banks. Then make a video and put it on youtube.com. Have a link on your resume of the video. In the video do it like a resume. Explain the job your seeking and explain the benefits of hiring you for this job. BE HONEST! Look Good, and a little humor wouldnt hurt either. After all it seems you like working with people, humor helps.

    Good Luck!

  3. Dont give up.

Most people who are PA's started off as general clerks.

Work for a good company, stay.

    Can they invest in you?

In the meanwhile all the best with your search.

    Chill out as well :-)

  4. You have to put yourself out there, let employers know that if they need a PA they can always come to you.
