  1. Anyone can be sucessful its a matter of how much you let this keep you down. Go to school, get your degree in criminal justice. I'm not going to lie if your discharge is anything but honorable then you will encounter some problems in the civilian world. You've just got to work alittle harder man. Good Luck

  2. You'll do fine. I'm assuming you got a General Under Honorable. Not too serious, nowhere close to dishonorable. I know a great soldier that got the same discharge for "cutting" under stress. I spoke to him recently and he is running a succesful computer business. If it concerns you and you can get away with it, don't disclose it to potential employers. That is to say, focus on your strong points ALWAYS, and let them take away a good impression of you. If asked about your weak points, say "I care too much sometimes." A previous poster was correct, it will only drag you down as far as you let it. Let's say you get hired and this comes to light. Just tell the truth without faulting the military. Don't make it a "me against them" thing, or you'll be seen as a malcontent and divisive. Explain to them that a mental discharge can sometimes be a caring commander's way of canning someone who might be a good enough soldier without f*$ing that soldier's later life too much. You could always start your own business, and then all you have to do is hire yourself, right? Good luck!

  3. So... whats the question?...

    You'll be fine
