Homemade cheesecake

Set aside your preconceived notions about making your own cheesecake. This recipe is both easy and cheap!

The recipe idea:

No self-respecting female can deny her love for cheesecake. Top this recipe with chocolate, cherries, caramel, nuts or your favorite topping.

Ingredients:

Crust

13 graham crackers, crushed

6 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Filling

5 eggs, separated

1 cup sugar

2 8-ounce packages cream cheese

1 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons flour

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter 9-inch springform pan.

Mix graham cracker crumbs, butter, sugar and cinnamon together until combined. Press in bottom of pan.

In large mixing bowl, beat egg yolks until thick. Gradually add sugar. Beat in cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream, flour and vanilla. Beat until smooth.

In separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add egg whites to cream cheese mixture. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 70 minutes. After baking, turn off oven and let cheesecake cool with the oven, not opening the door. After one hour, remove from oven and cool.
