It goes back and forth from dark brown to bright red. This will be my 3rd child. I've never had this before. I just found out yest about the preg. I was told that this was normal. I am having cramps like I am about to start my period. I called the Dr office today and was told that I am probably not having a miscarriage. That sometimes bleeding occurs. I have used 2 panty liners today. Not completely soaked though. It's like I'm on the last 2 days of my period. Is this normal or could I be having a miscarriage??

  1. Hi..

When I was pregnant I started brown spotting the next day it was just a tad bit lighter and more pink every day it got worse I went to the hosp 3 times each time my cervix was closed..

they told me if the bleeding was red to come back.. it did so i went back.

The next night i had horrid cramps and havy bleeding.. I had a complete and natural miscarriage.. ]=....

Im sure that you are fine.. I mean I was only 7 weeks but the baby stoped at 5 weeks.. thats when you are in danger for m/c

i am not trying to scare you I just wanted to share my expirence with you.

  2. this is very normal. when your baby grows, it attaches to your whom and causes some bleeding.

  3. It sounds completely normal to me. Sometimes the body had already started to get ready for your period and had produced some blood and is just now shedding it to get rid of it. In some women, it can happen for the first few months of pregnancy! Honestly, if you are still worried because I know I worry over everything too, I would go to the emergency room and just let them know that you're worried. They will usually do an ultrasound to make sure that everything is all right. I did the same thing at 6 weeks! Nothing was wrong, and I still got to see the little bugger! <3 All the best of luck to you.

  4. It seems like a bit much, when your the person having to deal with it, but to doctors, I swear its never enough. With my third child, the exact same thing happened to me, and it didnt feel right to me either, because it never happened with my 1st 2. They were right, though, it was normal, but I know it can feel horrible. I felt the cramps almost through the entire pregnancy, and you know what? I also felt them after I had given birth, for 2 months, every time I breastfed. Hang in there, and if you dont have a partner, invest in anything that makes you comfy, even if its silly. If you do have a partner, ask for a soft all-over rub-down. lol

  5. Having had a miscarriage myself, this sounds like a miscarriage to me. The cramps and the red blood is not a good sign. I am really sorry honey and I hope and pray that it's not. There is really not much you can do to stop it, and the only way to tell for sure is by having an ultrasound. You have my prayers.

  6. this can be very normal, if the flow picks up any then i would definitely go to the dr.

good uck and i hope works out :)

  7. it sounds normal but if at anytime you are not sure or uncomfortable about it you can always call your dr or go in. in the long run its better to be safe than sorry.

  8. for some its normal for others its not. dont listen to people who say its normal cuz that might not be the case for you. i know women who spotted brown and miscarried. and your having cramps too...i would go to an ER to make sure everything is really ok...but you might be as its not a period like flow and is not red...good luck hun..

  9. I had spotting at the very beginning of my pregnancy... but it was very light pink and I went to the Hospital about it. They told me if I got heavier or darker and was accompanied with cramps to come back, that I was probably miscarrying. So it's possible. GOOD LUCK I hope you're not.

  10. The truth is that it could be either.  It is normal to spot, but also this could be a miscarriage.  If it doesn't stop call the doctor back. I wish you luck!  your in my prayers.
