i went to my first try-outs today for field hockey, but i really dont want to be on the team anymore. I am trying out for JV and now i just want to be on modified. This was only the first tryout and I feel so sick and I have had a headache all day. What is a good way to get out of tryouts because i know I am not going to make it anyways

Also, I do not just want to not show up because I might tryout for JV next year.

  1. Tell the coach you're pregnant but hope to make the team next year after you've given birth.

  2. talk to the coach tomorrow and tell her you just dont feel prepared enough to play JV this year, and want to stick with modified. tell her you still are planning on trying out for Jv next year, but this year you just dont feel ready. she'll understand, and it will take pressure off her of having to cut you if she had to...

    hope this helps (:

  3. you should just try out and see how you do! you might actually be good! but if you really want off, you might talk to the coach and tell him your too busy, or don't have time. or you just don't think its the right year for you to try out. don't worry, i'm sure you'll think of something!

  4. its as easy as not going.

    geez.

    ahahah.

    just kidding.

try outs are meant for people to start leaving.

  5. talk to your coach

  6. Talk to the coache (s)

tell them what you really think and

    see what they say

if they say "no you should try out" explain

to them more why you dont want to.

    Sincerely,

    Trust Worthey

p.s. answer some of my ?s in return!!! :] plz

  7. Tell them that your mom is making you do something at church (feed the homeless?) or maybe that you've decided to work with the Special Olympics or local charity right now.

You could also try something related to seeing a tutor to help with your grades, etc.... right now, and once they are better, you might want to try out next year - but right now your mom wants you to concentrate on _______.

    Good Luck!

  8. Talk to the coaches, and explain to them that you don't think you are ready to play this year, but you would still like to be with the team, I am sure they can probably use a manager.  This person is still with the team, you are the one who makes sure everyone knows what time practices start and finish, what time the games are, which uniform they are to wear.  I bet you can probably practice with the team and this will help you get better.  Good Luck.
