I-tunes question????

I want to get an i-pod really bad and i know a lot of music sharing websites are either illegal or unsafe. I wanted to just use i-tunes but my mum doesn't want to give away her credit card number, she thinks she;ll get hacked. How safe is I-tunes and is there a way to use it without a credit card? I just wanted and account and I'd buy gift cards to get songs, but I heard in order to do that you STILL need to give away your credit card number..

iTunes is very safe and you can use gift cards instead of credit cards.  They sell iTunes gift cards everywhere.  I think you might need to enter a credit card number to set up your account though.  They won't charge it during set up.

No, even if you just use gift cards, you don't need a credit card.  It will give you the option to put in the number to continue service after the card is gone, but you don't NEED to.

if u r using a discover card or mastercard u can use a virtual account number - the virtual account number is generated from the web site of discover or mastercard - the virtual account number is different from the actual number on ur card - plus u can cancel the virtual account account number so it can't be used again  - i buy everything on the internet using the virtual numbers - when the charge shows up on my activity report on the internet at the card website i cancel the number

Hiya ,

I had the same problem when you install i tunes just say Register Later or  Never Register and instead of buying of i Tunes just get at voucher at your local Woolworth's or somewhere , or just use Cd's.
