I want contact lenses...?

I'm 12 and my parents agreed. My doctor is on vacation until Wednesday. So I was wondering, how old do you have to be to get contacts?? Is there a certain age limit?

btw, I live in New Jersey.

well u have to be 13 with a parent and 18 to get them on your own...but you can still ask your dr. as long as oour parents approve

i used to have contacts around that same age, most likely you will be asked to get the kind that you replace every 2 weeks with a new pair. that's the kind i had and they almost ruined my eyes, i had to go to the doctors like 5 times over a year because my eyes were really infected. after all that they switched me to FOCUS daily's. basically the difference is that you change them every day with a new pair.

they are only like 100 dollars more for a years supply, but i deffinatly think it is worth it to get them just incase your eyes are sensitive like mine.

when you go in just ask your doctor about FOCUS daily contacts

there is no specific age for getting contacts, as long as you can take care of them then you can get contacts.

nope but your doctor needs to make sure that you are responsible enough for contacts because you need to take really good care of them
