I want know about pilot education?

I am studying at class 12 final year. On coming year I will be appearing for my final examination. After that I want to be pilot, but I don't know any thing. Please let me know everything, how can I become a pilot, how much a professional pilot gets his salary per month or where will I found all the info

First you need to pass 12th with math and physics in order to obtain CPL in India or to transfer license from other country as well.

Cost: If you enrolled in flight school in India; then, it will cost you anywhere from 18 to 22 lakhs. In USA, it will be around 22 to 24 lakhs including housing and food and transportation.

Duration: Indian, it will take 2 to 3 years depending on availability of instructor, airplane and weather condition. In USA it will take 6 to 10 months except instructor and plane availability is not a problem with the schools in USA.

Flight Training: You need to obtain private pilot license first. It requires 60 hours of flying then need to obtain instrument rating then commercial pilot license. Total of 200 hrs of flight time for CPL. Flight schools in India does not need to provide CPL training in complex aircraft. Benefit of obtaining CPL training in USA would be that you would receive 10 hours of your CPL training in a complex aircraft (aircraft with retractable landing gear and variable pitch prop). You need to pass air regulation, air navigation, aviation meteorology and technical written test conducted by the DGCA for PPL and CPL.

Job Prospect: Currently there is significant shortage of qualified pilots in India, China, East Asia and Middle East, Europe and USA. Starting salary of a pilot is 1.5 to 2.0 lakhs per month in India.

You can study CPL in any country. But select a program as per the specifications of Indain DGCA.

Australia is the best country offering Indian CPL courses followed by USA

Cost will be around Rs.20-23 lakhs and duration is 52 wks

You can take CPL+CIR and ME Ratings with 200/210 flying hours . When you finish your course you can come back to India and convert your CPL to Indian CPL.
