I want to Volunteer somehow!

Question

I'm the kinda girl that just wants to change the world....so a little volunteeering is the best way to help. Is there anyway I could volunteer anywhere at 12 years old. I want to volunteer to gain knowlege in certain ares, make freinds and help...not to mention adding something to my college application...as you can see.......I'm ver y confident in what I want to do in my life and that I'm gonna have to get off my butt and work on what I have to do....but I'm being off-topic....so...any ideas???

They have recently changed the site, but visit volunteermatch.org. You can search by the area that you live in, and what type of volunteer work you'd like to do. ie elderly care, kids, animals, environment.etc

they have organizations that clean up dirty lots and plant trees and Stuff, also Church, Animal Shelter, Homeless Shelter
