  1. omg theres a young female albino ferret in tea tree plaza in Adelaide and shes called bat and shes so cute .

  2. try looking it up on craigslist, or petfinder.com they oftern have them for free or for a small price

but remember beggars cant be choosers, so you might not get the one you like for free

  3. PETFINDER.COM :)

  4. ferrets are quite expensive, and if you adopt them they're usually older ferrets. At the petstore where i live they're 250$ plus taxe. But at that price they come fixed, descented and vaccinated. Make sure you get one that has all that done, because i don't think you can get it done at the vet, or it would be very expensive.

You could try some ferret breeders, the ferrets there are usually young and very well taken care of, but you would have to save lots of money first.

  5. you are being rather picky and ferrets are known to bite, i no this may be a little more common but you would be better of with a rabbit or Guinea pig.

  6. If you can't afford to buy a ferret, then you can't afford to own a ferret. Sorry, but it's true.

Ferrets are extremely expensive to own. They require expensive food (it has to be High Quality), expensive everything really. They are prone to a variety of cancers (insulinoma, adrenal disease, etc.) and the vet costs associated with treating those diseases are very high.

You really wouldn' t be helping a ferret if you can't afford him/her.

I have 11 of them, just ask me how much I spent on vet bills just for ONE of them that has both insulinoma and adrenal? Over $1,000. I also have another with both insulinoma and adrenal.

If you want more info. on costs of owning, or just how to take care of a ferret in general, I highly recommend this site:

  7. If you want to adopt you are looking at over $100 ANYWHERE! Ferrrets coast A LOT and if you dont have it DONT get one. Its not fair to them. ALMOST every ferret should have at least one major surgery in its life time.( And that can start at 500 and up)  And if you get one that doesnt Then either your lucky or you just didnt catch it. You should really do some reading. It sounds like you dont understand how much they really cost.
