I want to install Nero

I want to install Nero 8 --- at present Nero 6 is installed and when I click to uninsall it all evidence of the removable drives disappear ( ie the cd/dvd drives )-- in particular if InCD is removed it takes with it the cd/dvd drives What can i do to fix the problem ?GH
