  1. Take German In High School =]

  2. Your age allows you to learn faster. However; I strongly recommend that you get a private teacher. If you want to do it on your own and a partner , here is good site :

NB, Master the german pronunciation well before advancing to next level.

  3. You can take German in high school, but if your high school doesn't offer it, I say you should try a Rosetta Stone. I think that they are a bit pricey, but a friend of mine is using it and she says that it's better then using other, cheaper language learning products. I myself am planning to use this system to learn Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. Of course, what method you choose is entirely up to you...

  4. I'm also 14 and trying out German.  I'd recommend that you use Pimsleur's German method, it's a bit expensive, but look around a bit, you might find it for a cheaper price. Then after you finish all three levels, do Schaum's Outlines of German Grammar and Vocabulary (they are two books.)

    ISBNs are:

    Vocabulary- 978-0-07-071117-4 and 0-07-071117-8

    Grammar- 978-0-07-025134-2 and 0-07-025134-7

  5. i speak german and i'd say the best way is through school (i learned through school and family) this will teach you a lot but i wasn't fluent until i went to germany... you could also try listening to these german bands:

die arzte, tokio hotel, die toten hosen, killerpilze, rammstein, wir sind helden, silbermond, juli, sportfreunde stiller, nena, and die prinzen

^^ these are some cool german bands and listening to german music really helps you learn more vocab once you learn the basics!

    viel glück (good luck)
