I want to learn the guitar?

is there a website that teaches how to play guitar my friend wants to learn bass and i want to learn basic guitar, i dont want to buy anything or take classes so if there is a website it has to be free

basically Youtube has alot of lessons on it just search stuff like "Guitar lesson" and

(song name here) lesson. you'll find good stuff.

Ok first of all start off at www.freeguitarvideos.com they have guitar courses for complete begineers to any genre of music you want. Second once you're down on the basics go to www.chordbook.com and learn your chords and scales i suggest you learn the A D E chords first in the open position and then the G D C chords also in the open position. Then learn some scale i recommend THe major and Minor pentatonic scales preferably in the key of A or E. THen once your real solid on the basics i suggset you look up your favorite songs at www.ultimate-guitar.com just stick to easy tabs so that you want become discourged,.

An amazing site for basically anything about guitar (lessons, tabs, reviews, news, ect.) is http://www.ultimate-guitar.com

It has HEAPS of lessons and pretty much every tab you could ever want :)
