i decided i want to learn to play the guitar any ideas which guitar to get and where from

im from the uk , aberdeen if that helps x

Go to a good music store selling guitars and try many different makes and models that fit your budget.

Think at least about 200 pounds for a decent instrument.

I'd go for an acoustic myself, but many (especially younger) people automatically grab electrics which means they also need an expensive amplifier and cable.
