I want to raise a cockatiel?

I have always wanted to hatch an egg and i like cockatiels alot. If i wanted to raise one from an egg, will it be to difficult? I have other pets. Would i need a mother bird?

why don't you get a pair of cocktails & let them breed .... you will feel the same as if you are bringing up their babies....

it's impossible from the egg but i got my spike when he was 11 days out of the egg and the parents got him thru the small stage

it's not difficult go to see your vet for some free advice on the foods and stuff you have to do and they should be able to give you free fact sheets

other pets that can get to bird should be kept strictly away from them as they may eat them

they make excellent pets but ....... if you don't give them attention for the same amount each day they will get separation anxiety and become screechers

Raising a bird without a mother is hard, I've hatched one before, and without its mother it never learnt how to fly properly, in the end you just have to pretty much throw it to make it flap its wings. But nonetheless it's actually pretty easy to take care of one.
