I want to start a band?

I want to start a band but first I need a good song.

It will be a rock band if I like it and my band happens

your song will be sung. (please no dirty song's).

dude, that's pretty vague.

i mean, there's tons of songs. but you need a song that's your skill level, fits the lead singer's voice, doesn't have a ton of instruments that your band doesn't have (for example: a song with neccesary bass parts when you don't have a bass player), etc.

and i do and don't agree with the answerer below me.

if you are just starting out start with a cover. then as you become more familiar with your instrument and fellow band members, try writing your own stuff.

you can sing your own songs its not that hard to make things from the heart i have a book i keep all of my songs in . when i get into a bad mood or in a singing mood dude make it your own its way more fun to do

you can try representing the songs.You can try like 3 doors down or nickelback or sunrise avenue.Even i happen to have my own song witch i composed and if you like you may try them :)

You should create your own music.  It's your band.  You're not creating if you use someone else's stuff.  Go practice.
