Ok, I am in a keeper league. We keep 15 players. I was offered this:

I get:

Manny

Bj upton

For:

Utley

My 1st and 3rd picks next year

So since this is a 15 player keeper league, my 1st and 3rd are really equivelent to 16th and 18th picks.

I could use two more outfielders....but its it worth Utley and 16th and 18th picks?????

  1. UTLEY HAS GIVING YOU EVERYTHING HE HAS HE WILL SLOW DOWN I WOULD TRADE FOR MANNY AND UPTON

  2. I would say so becauseUpton can play 2nd in some leagues and you would also be recieving Manny.

  3. NO!

Utley is practically untouchable. And you're giving up way to much for what you are getting.New outfielders are always coming up to the bigs

and making impacts,,(J.Bruce,J.Hamilton,Ben Francisco.)Outfield is one of the easiest positions to solidify through waivers over a season.

Second base is one of the toughest. And I think B.J. will lose his 2nd base eligigibility next year,,so I say no way on the trade.

  4. No.  Upton is a typical five tool OF with little power and mostly only RBI's and SB's.  To compensate for Upton next year consider the Marlins OF Cameron Maybin.  Like Upton but with more power and better AVG.    I know he's only a top prospect but he really sounds like he is for real and next year will likely see him up in the majors.  Manny is on the decline and he won't have the lineup protection he had in Boston now that he's in LA.  Utley is the real deal, a supreme power and contact hitter that has .320  40+ HR and 120+ RBI potential.
