  1. no way......just b sure to train ALOT

  2. Well Bernard Hopkins was 23 when he had his first professional bout and to top that he lost. Who would think that 20 years later he would be considered one of the best pound for pound fighters today? IF you have a dream and are willing to put in the effort and time there are no limits to what you can accomplish. 43 year old Bernard Hopkins is an excellent example.

  3. Its never too old to start boxing but you will have to train a lot more then once a week...its an everyday thing. If you really want to be good

  4. No 18 is a really good age to start. If you have a relay good trainer, and a lot of heart you will go fare.

  5. Some here seem to have missed that you say you will train every day, but once a week with a trainer.  You have a good plan, and you are DEFINITELY not too old.  Whether you will succeed or not depends on a lot of factors, including how much dedication you have and whether you find the right trainer.  As for the pros, some of it depends on being in the right place at the right time.  So, I say, go for it, and even if you don't achieve your final goal, you will have some fun and develop yourself in many ways along the way.

  6. no 18 is not to old to start. and I wouldn't work with a trainer who has no faith in you b/c he won't be willing to work his best in order to ensure that yu can do your best. also you need to train much more than once a week more like five times a week. if you want you can start with 3 but then move it up to 5 after the first 6 months

  7. no its not that old to start, just know that you will have to put a lot of dedication into it and have a STEADY amatuer career before making it to the pros.

Just know this tho it took kelly pavlik 7 years before he got his chance at the middle weight title belt, so it wont be an easy road ahead.

also you sould learn the fundementals of boxing and try to master every punch.

  8. no it's not too old, but the sooner you atart the better. I didn't start till I was 19.
