ITunes store help?

everytime i open my itunes, a message comes up stating, "itunes could not connect to the itunes store. the network connection was refused. make sure your network settings are correct and you network connection is active, then try again.

i just downloaded the newest version of iTunes and ever since I did that--the itunes store has not been accessible!

i have tried numerous things to try to get this working!

i have been on the apple site and I have tried all of the trouble shooting options.

i have restarted itunes and my computer.

i have no idea what to do! pleaseeee help.

and if you give me an idea please try to be as detailed and helpful as possible!

  1. There may be a feature of your firewall that is preventing itunes from being able to access the music store, and blocking its requests for internet access. If you are able to connect to the internet you should be able to connect to the itunes store.
