Ideas for a History Project PLEASE?

Question

Hey this is for a big state exam and so I would truly appreciate your help. The project can be on anything in any part of the world that happened before 1993. It must have historical significance and it must be PERCISE - for example you couldn't do a project on Hitler but you could do one on 'The Night of the Long Knives". I'd like to stay away from WELL KNOWN historical figuresd/events please. Thanks a lot.

Gandhi could be done. Everyone has heard about Gandhi, but noone really knows what he did. His role on civil-disobedience.

1) Philo Farnsworth, the invention of television, and the ensuing patent fight. The story is facinating and was just turned into a broadway play "The Farnsworth Invention." Soon to be a major motion picture, it will be in the public eye in the next year or two.

2) The Cuban Revolution / Bay Of Pigs Invasion / Cuban Missle Crisis. Castro is almost dead. Might be interesting.

3) Falkland Islands War.

4) Invention of Motion Pictures. Edward Muybridge settled a bet in 1872 by photographs; does a horse raise all four feet when galloping?
