Question:

Ideas for a snack mix?

My hubby can be so picky! He likes snack mixes, but doesn't like everything in them. So I thought I'd make my own. He likes cherios, quacker squares, nuts, chex and the thin squiggly chinese noodles. Sounds really crappy, right? Anyway, my question is if anyone has any ideas on a seasoning for this mix. I doubt he'll eat it plain! Thanks!

  1. SNACK MIX

5 c. cereal (such as Kix, etc)

    1 c. salted Spanish peanuts

    1 c. raisins

    1 c. banana chips (optional)

1 (3 1/8 oz.) pkg. vanilla regular (not instant) pudding and pie filling

    1/2 c. honey

    1/2 c. peanut butter

Butter cookie sheet, then mix cereal, nuts, raisins, and banana chips in large bowl. Mix pudding filling (dry) and honey in small saucepan, heat to boiling over low heat stirring constantly. Reduce heat, boil and stir 1 minute. Remove and stir in peanut butter. Pour over cereal mixture and toss until evenly coated. Spread in cookie sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Break into bite-size pieces. Yields about 10 cups of snack.
