  1. Depends on the 'tastes' of the Bride.

If she is wanting something quiet & intimate, why not have a traditional "High-Tea" Party, depending on time you are starting your gathering eg; 11am-12n for Morning Tea, and 2-4pm for Afternoon Tea.

Throw it at home with all the traditional servings of cakes & sandwiches, and Pots of Tea (get Twinning Mix so people can chose), this will be fun, and relaxing, and cost saving, and something the oldies will like also. Have it out on the lawn, followed by traditional Gin & Tonics & a few games of Croquet.

Remember, it is a simple 'Kitchen Tea', this is meant to be a pre-wedding ( & pre-bachelorette party) gathering to 'shower the bride' with gifts for her home that she does not already have, hence named 'Kitchen Tea'. It is meant to be simple, though most people like to 'spice it up' with Lingerie gifts & other bedroom goodies as presents, although depends on they crowd you are pulling, and their tastes.

The Maid of Honour is responsible for organising it, and it is traditionally held at the Maid-Of-Honours home.

    Good Luck.

  2. day spa -that'll be me

  3. I am maid of honor for my friend, and we just had her party last week. What I did is I planned a scavenger hunt at a popular tourist location in our city, TONS of fun, and everyone gets involved and gets to act silly. We split into 2 groups and and example of something on our list to bring back was a video of someone "busting a move" or a group photo with someone wearing a business suit, ect ect. Then we had a nice dinner and then we went to a local comedy club for some laughs, and then went dancing. Best night ever! And the bride to be LOVED it.

  4. quiet and intimate:  spa, dinner, hotel sleep over with some old movies....etc

"going out" - go dancing, followed by some drinks and crashing at someone's house

extreme partyy girl - stripper, club, drinks....etc.

I won't be planning it - but i have mentioned to my girls that i LOVE dancing and eating - so a nice dinner followed by some salsa moves will do me the trick.
