Ideas for redoing a teenagers bedroom?

i want my bedroom to look goood, but not kiddishh.

im thinking i want to do a zebra print.

with maybe red?

any ideas of wall colors, carpet, furniture, bedding, etc for mee?

Well I designed my boyfriends room as well as my friends dorm and of course my own bedroom. If you have a small room, try painting the walls something dark on 3 sides and white on one wall. It will give the illusion of a larger or longer room. Are you a poster fiend? Dont plaster the walls with posters. It always makes me think of someone I cant take seriously when I get there. I think Zebra print can work with just pillows on a plain comforter. Dont over do it or it will look kiddish.

Well I would keep it pretty neutral as your tastes will probably change over the years, so I would add colour with objects which can easily be replaced. For furniture looking in some antique shops or second hand shops can be really vintage, a completely matching room is boring nowadays. If you can get a few really nice pieces of furniture which you know you wont get bored of that will be good, paying a little bit more is worth it too otherwise you'll just be replacing them in a few years time. A zebra print is a funky idea, but how about just getting accessories with the print on such as cushions and photoframes. And maybe just do the red on one wall and keep the rest neutral.

Go with your instincts but don't choose too much just on your tastes at the moment as theyre bound to change.
