  1. I like Kerry and Idina for different songs. And they have different acting styles.

    They're both good.

But so are Stephanie, Shoshana, Eden, Teal, Caissie, Amanda, Alexia, Willemijn, Kristy, Carmen, Ana, Victoria, and the standbys and understudies and all the rest I didn't name.

  2. idina menzel is definately the best

    she is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I like Idina Menzel, but I also like that Stephanie person

  4. kerry ellis

  5. IDINA IS THE BEST ACTRESS/SINGER FOR STAGE IN THE WORLD, does that answer the question?

  6. I'd say Kerry's a better actress, there's more colour and subtlety to her performance.  She took Elphaba on a journey, she's a young, naive girl at the beginning, a bitter, heart-broken woman by the end of the show.  Idina just did the show, she was the same throughout - when you could hear her over the screaming fans!

  7. Idina Menzel, but they are both probably incredible performers.

Idina is just one of my favorite actresses, i love her voice.

  8. Are you crazy?

First off, no cast will ever conquer the OBC of anything, that's a fact.

Idina Menzel is a heck of a lot better than Kerry Ellis. Better vocals, better stage prescence, better everything.

  9. OOh! Tough one!

I think for normal singing of DG, its Idina. But Kerry's Wicked in Rock is AWESOME.

In closing, I'd like to say my favorite Elphies are Caissie Levy and Willemijn Verkaik.

  10. idina menzel! she rocks! =]

  11. when i saw it Julie Reiber was Elphaba but she was still amazing!

i believe she was the understudy though =]

    who do you prefer?

  12. I found Kerry's portrayal of the role far easier to sympathise with than Idina's, but I think that's because she has what is to me a local accent. It makes a big difference - the American accent is associated with films and tv shows, fictions from far away, whereas RP is an accent from the news and radio that 'real' people speak with.

I daresay the same applies in reverse for American audiences.
