Ie antivirus problem popup?

how do I stop the pop up that says critical error download this spysweep etc. I know it is a rouge site.I can use safari or firefox but I want to use in exp. I CAN NOT download any free stuff ofline and norton and spysweeper will not pick it up.

In your case you will need to reboot into safe mode. You do that by restarting your PC and then holding the F8 key before the windows splash startup screen. Choose "Safe Mode with Networking" Then proceed to http://www.spyware-techie.com/how-to-rem... to download smitfraudfix which is a free program. Run that and it should clean the ie antivirus files that are causing the popups. Worked for me two times that i had ie antivirus. Good luck!
