Question:

If Djokovic had.....?

This is just a crazy question but I'm curious to hear answers. We all know that Federer was handed the worst loss of his career against Nadal at the French this past Sunday, but we were all warmed by how gracious and respectful Nadal was even after the match was over by not doing some wild celebration. My question is if Djokovic had been in the same situation and basically destroyed Federer like Nadal did do you think he would've reacted like Nadal or would he have done the exact opposite? Mind you, I'm not trying to be mean and say anything about Novak personally, it's only hypothetically speaking, so please no nasty remarks let's all be adults about this question.

  1. U know, i personally dont like Novak but professionally, i respect him as a top 3 player...now concerning your question, im sure Novak would have done the opposite not because he disrespects Roger but just pure emotion...Nole is one emotional guy maybe because just how he is....nothing more nothing less..now if he were the the one who gave Roger that kind of beating and celebrated, i would not take it against him because who wouldnt celebrate by beating the no.1 player in the world...

I think Nadal just did not let his emotions get the better of him in this case coz he's getting accustomed to beating Roger like he can do it everyday anytime anywhere...If you can do this regularly, then the thrill of celebrating wildly tones down a bit....

  2. Honestly anything the guy does is construed in a negative manner. So, even if he did a Nadal after destroying federer, people would say he's gotten so arrogant now that he treats such one sided matches against the top player just like a first round match.

  3. Good question. Actually, I think Novak would do the opposite: He would, like at the Aussie Open, throw his racket, fall onto the ground, and he would take his shirt off(when he doesn't even have good abs.) I was impressed with Nadal's reaction, and I have more respect for him now, but if Novak was put in the same situation, he would act like a 5 year old when he gets Wii Fit LOL.

  4. You see this in Djokovic, Jankovic, and Ivanovic.  They're not humble at all.  Their head is full of hot air so they'll gloat until their next defeat.  They act all humble and stuff when they lose, but watch how they are when they win.  I think it's one of the traits for Serbs.  They're airheadedness.  No wonder their former country (Yugoslavia) was split into two cuz they couldn't get along with each other.  Someone has to be on top.  Just like Israel and Pakistan.  It's all about ego.

  5. nole would have celebrated wildly in clay had he routed the fed.  if he won RG, he would have accomplished the following:

    - become world #2

    - broke rafa's perfect record in RG

    - beat fed twice in a row in a grandslam tournament

    - got his 2nd major title, and has a shot at the golden slam

so, u can't blame him for that, no?

  6. I was surprised no to see Nadal scrambling on the clay and I think it's because it wasn't that though of a match.  I'd have to say Djoko would've done it I mean, it would've been his first time to win RG.

  7. If Djokovic had........he will probably be a CONE HEAD.....Nadal is probably one of the few players who will remain humble....imagine after he achieved to have thesame record as Bjorg he still was apologetic towards Federer .......I hope Nadal continues to dominate Roland Garros...........Monfils reminds me of the easy going attitude and likeability factor of Guga who recently retired. If he perseveres he will probably defeat Federer next year.

  8. If Novak beat Federer in the final of the French Open, he will celebrate wildly. Why? because he is an underdog and is not suppose to beat Roger. Rafael Nadal was polite because despite the fact that he was #2, people expect him to win that match like he did twice before. He knew he would win against Roger on clay.

  9. If you can remember Nadal did act like that the past 3 times. The only reason he didn't go crazy is because he wiped the floor with him.And I don't see anything bad if someone is happy with the win. What is wrong with you?!What? So now Djokovic is bad just because he is being happy with the win?You are all crazy! When Nadal falls on his back and gets himself dirty like a pig he is OK,but when Novak throws a racket into the crowd he is acting like a 5 year old.Haven't you ever seen anyone throwing a racket into the crowd before? If you heat Djokovic, just say it.I am a Djokovic fan but I don't hate Nadal. In fact,I think he is a very talented player with great career ahead of him.

P.S. This answer wasn't directly referring to you,but to all Djokovic haters.
