If a boxer is 5'8?

I'm 5'8, and I'd like to know what division would you recommend for me to go in? Middleweight?Welterweight?what?

5'8 is pretty short for any weight Welterweight and above.

About average for a Lightweight to Junior Welterweight

Anything below Lightweight and you're considered pretty tall.

So, I'd say Lightweight (135)

Floyd Mayweather is 5'8 and he's a Welterweight but I'd say his best weight was at Lightweight

You can go above welterweight if you want, Marvin Hagler, one of the best middleweights of all time was only 5'9, and I belive Jeff Lacy, a strong super middleweight contender is only 5'7' 5'8 tops. Mike Tyson was believed by some to be as short as 5'9' too, and he was a heavyweight.

Well you could weigh 300 pounds and be 5,8.  it depends on your weight and not your height.  how much do you weigh?
