If calling spain????

Question

I want to call a friend in spain, he has given me the number but in front of the number it has a + sign followed by the number, can someone please tell me, what to put in place of the + sign. I have tried 00 and still cannot get connected!

Everyone here answered it right. But  Dee L  is more understandable, just follow him. And if you feel the call charges are expensive........ring this access number ( 0844 838 0990 ).

1. Dial the above access number

2. At the prompt dial the full number of your Spanish friend.

3. That's it, u r connected.

From uk it is

0034 then the area code less the first number if it is a zero and then the phone number.

ie to ring 01176 954321 you would dial 0034 1176 954321

In the UK the international direct dial code is 00.  This equates to the '+' sign in the notation, so replace the + with 00.

The country code for Spain is 34, so you should start 0034.

Remove the first '0' from the local number, and enter the rest of the number and you'll be connected.

Calls to Spanish landlines cost 22p per minute on BT and 29p per minute on Virgin Media (standard rates).  However, dial 0844 838 7990 before dialing the full international number, and the same call will cost you 2p per minute!  See the comparison links below for full details.

HI,

From the UK the international access code is 00.  Spain's international code is then 34.

After that you can dial the number for your friend minus the 1st "0".

When calling internationally remember any time differences.

just dial 011 country-code then city-code then number, forget the + sign....

If you are from the UK then dial replacing the "+" with: 00 then 34 (the rest of the number which is in a 9 digit format). IF you are from the US then dial 011 then 34 and then the number . Spains phone system doesn't include zeros so they have to dial the whole format even if its local.
