If i fractured a growth plate?

Would it be extremely painful...i mean would i know that i fractured it?

2 days a go i hert my thumb and it didnt even hert but the next day i want to school and it was fat and purple. my dad said i just spraind it and then one of my teachers told my daid to make me gat a xray so i did and i broke right throughe my growth palte in my thum and chiped a peace of bone aswell so the same day i want to hospital and i waited and waited for 4 hours and thank god i got a cast. on monday i have to see a plastic surgon to see if i need surgary on my thunb and it didnt hert.
