If the Phillies offense?

Continues to slump for the rest of this season,you think Charlie Manuels jobs in jeopardy?I mean he keeps pulling Burrell out of games late and it comes back to bite him in the @$$...Look what a manager change did to the Mets.

well, they are winning the division, and they do have two of the nl's home run and rbi leaders on their team...i wouldn't get too worried right now, but if the phillies manage to blow it now i wouldn't be surprised if manuel is in trouble

The problem has more to do with their inconsistent pitching rather than their hitting.  The players need to play better as they have a ton of talent, simple as that.  Although I do agree that pulling a guy that has 25 home runs late in a game is not very bright.

Manuel wasn't fired in dire circumstances early last year. I doubt his job is in jeopardy.

He routinely pulls Burrell out of the game late beacuse he is a fielding liability, and it rarely hurts the team. I don't know why Manuel uses Bruntlett though, I think that Jayson Werth is a better fielder and hitter. Manuels job is not in jeopardy because the team is still tied for 1st and the players seem to like him.

i would be suprised if they fire manuel. he has them in the race and i think he will be there next year.

NO, Chuck isn't gonna get fired, yes the offense is in a slump right now but its only a matter of time until they get out of it.  Once this offense starts to produce again watch out cause its the best offense in the league.

The only time he takes out Pat is when we have a lead, and he does it for defense, its not a dumb idea because he doesn't do it every game.

No, I don't think he will be fired. The Phillies weren't as dreadful as the Mets were where Randolph was fired, anyway I don't think the Phillies slump will be that long unless they get hit with the injury bug.
