ahhhhhhh eta: can I change my answer to the french bread/chicken strip recipe kendalandsamsmom posted - ??  Cus that sounds like a bit of heaven & she doesn't accept IM or email so if she's reading this mad props on the recipe!  I've saved it!

  13. Sausage queso dip (out of this world)

1 pound-size chub of decent sausage (bob evans, jimmy dean, etc)

    2 bricks cream cheese

1 can Ro-tel (the diced tomatoes and green chilis mix)

    1 bag tortilla chips

Total cost: about $8-9 including the chips

Brown sausage in pan (not skillet).  add both bricks of cream cheese, stir until combined and melted.  add can of rotel. mix.  Dash with some cayenne pepper (optional).  Serve hot with the tortilla chips.  YUM!

  14. Take a loaf of French Bread, a package of cooked Chicken Strips (in the lunchmeat aisle) a package of soft cream cheese, a package of shredded cheese (I use Sharp, but any yellow cheese works), green onions and salt and pepper.

Cut the loaf of bread in hald lenghtwise, not across. Scoop out a bit of the bread with a spoon. Chop up the green onions, and chop the chicken strips into little bite size chunks. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese,  3/4 of the package of shredded cheese, green onions, chicken and salt and pepper (to taste) and spread the mixture on the bread. Put on a cookie sheet and bake for 10 min at 350. Take out, top with remaining cheese and put back in the oven until the cheese is melted. Cut into pieces and eat! It's super good, I promise!

Also, you can take a serving platter, spread it with cream cheese, spread cocktail sauce over that, and top with shredded canned crab meat or those little tiny shrimp you get in the seafood counter. Serve as a dip with Ritz crackers. Sounds weird, but I swear to you it;s always the thing that gets eaten first at all my parties!

  15. Homeade Gaucomole

  16. Fello dough, melted butter,  Parmesan /goat cheese and Asparagus

*Not sure if I have spelled Fealow dough right. It is a thin dough used in pastries, can be found in a tube in the freezer section.  Bring to room temp. and cut long ways in half. Using 1-3 sheets, depending on how much you want wrapped around the asparagus, paint with melted butter. Sprinkle with Parmesan/ goat cheese (like what you put on spaghetti) then roll 1-2 asparagus depending on their size.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 min. or till the dough flakes and is golden
