i work really hard at school and stuff, and i got on the honor roll and ive been wanting a cell phone for years and stuff. i wanted a reward for what i did is that selfish? also after i got honors i messed up and went down to a 78 average but i still think i deseerve somtin is that selfish?

  1. It's good to get a reward for your hard work but you don't always get one so don't expect one. Nobody owes you anything in life so get over it.


  2. I don't think that's selfish.  A reward every once in a while for achieving your goal is well-deserved.  You never know, maybe your parents are already planning on getting you a cell phone after seeing your improvement?

    My dad bet me a new car that I couldn't get above a 2300 on the SATs.  That was extra motivation for me and in the end I won the bet.  We both came off happy.  Nothing wrong with rewards.
