Question:

Ikea in Canton ... delivered broken shelves?

We bought some shelving from the Canton, Michigan store and when they delivered the stuff it was smashed. The delivery firm, first refused to take the stuff back, then when I called the supervisor, they relented and agreed to but the shelves back on their truck.

However, while writing on their delivery form "refused due to damage" the driver physically confronted me and tore the form from my hands, saying that I was disrespecting him.

The delivery guys said they can only spend 30 minutes at each stop and warned me that they would charge my credit card if they went beyond their timeline.

Anyone else have similar tales of woe?

  1. Contact your local Better business bureau and then call your local investigating news media..to do a story and get the company in hot water and your money back and new complete shelving. That is unprofessional and disrespectful to you...That is a also borderline criminal behavior for trying to use your credit card to pay for additional time..that is so WRONG! Good Luck....and more information you have the better...I have filed complaints in the past and won.

  2. report them to the Better Business Bureau as well as consumer affairs.
