Im So afraid of Tornadoes?

Question

I live in the #8 state for tornadoes and there are Storms 24\7. My brother scares me all the time and when the sirens go off or theres a Tornadoe warning he freaks out, SO DO I! Just my stomach hurts and i stay in my moms room. How Can I PASS THIS Scariness. (shiver)

find out what is really making you afraid...

it probably is NOT tornadoes.. you have an underlying fear you aren't dealing with.. it is externalizing during tornado warnings...

Tell your brother that he is a tool and you just need to chill out. I live in Texas that IS tornado alley.

My bro did the same thing to me.  Then chances of a tornado are pretty unlikely, but if one does come your way, u just gotta go hide in the basement and u will be alright. U might lose everything u own, but as long as your folks got insurance, it can be replaced for free!!!!

You have nothing to worry about

You have more of a change of getting hurt just by walking out the front door of your home than getting hit by a tornado

Get out a map of your state and mark on it where your home is

.. . .

Then look at all the places that have gotten hit by a storm carring a tornado in it

.. . ..

Each spot is a dot DOT on the map

And then look at the size of the state you live in and think of all the people who live there besides you

So for you to be in the one right place at the wrong time is like

.. . ..

Winning the LOTTERY Get out a list of all the people  who have been hit by the storm and see the numbers just aren't that high considering the total population of the state you live in

Rest in peace and be assured that there are people out  there chasing those thing around the state in their cars trying to get photos movies of them

OMG! Funny thing, I live in southern Ontario, which is also southern canada, (close to states) and I am PETRIFIED of tornados, LITERALY! last year we came soo close to getting tornados, and this year my brother and neighbor and friend dawna said that this year is going to be really bad for tornados, (I am getting chills just thinking about it) Already we've gotten "2" warnings for tornados, (but luckily didn't get one) and "4" thunderstorm warnings (which did happen), ugh im sooo nervous and we don't even have a cellar in case we DO have one!

I am basically afraid of everything!

But you know whatÉ Tell your brother he`s a tard, and if he keeps going, crank you mp3 or I pod (if you have one) in you mother`s room, and cover your self in blankets.

As for blocking off the fears of the inpending storm,  cover the windows with blankets, (so you dont have to look at the storm outside)  make the T.V. really loud, and as I said, crank the sterios and mp3`s and ipods, trust me, I don`t know how im gonna get by my this years tornado season, I REALLY DONT know how im gonna live with it,lol! But remember that its nature`s natural purpose... even though its evil!! hide in your closet if you get really scaired, but you have my best wishes,
