Ok so it started about 2 weeks ago when we recieved a phone call the area code was 951, I asked where they were form they said "California and thats all we can tell you cuz your to young!" (they called everyday)They kept calling till my dad got home

I gave my dad the phone

and they said we owe money from a gas card

my dad said he would only pay

if he got a bill, and we never had a bill from them

My dad hung up

and they called again about 3 mins later we didnt pick up

And later I checked the internet for their number at google

it had a few comments that they were asking random people for money because they owed them(but really no one owes them)

And so I read on and I found that they used 4 phone numbers

I checked my phone and they did!

Have you had these phone calls???

Do you know why they do this???

  1. It is just a phone scam type deal.  What you can do is block all 4 of the numbers so they will not be allowed to call your number. You can do this by pressing *54 (on most carriers ) once you press it, it should ask you to press 1 to activate the service then add the number you want blocked - if this doesn't happen call your phone company and see what *code Selective call rejection is...it is normally free to block unwanted calls, when they try to call they will hear a message saying you are not accepting calls from them...

You can also contact the better business beuro and file a complaint about these people and they will handle it from there to find out who to contact at the BBB go to www.bbb.org

Good luck getting rid of these creeps!!

  2. They're just random people who want money.  It's like one of those emails that say, you won a trip to Florida or something.  Next time they call, just don't pick up the phone.  Sooner or later, they'll give up and bug someone else.

  3. Contact the Attorney General of your state and let them know about the problem. These calls constitute fraud and harassment. I'm sure the Attorney Generals' office can either help out directly or point you in the right direction.
