Im irish?? i think?

Question

does any one know what a website is tht i only have to type in some info bout me and i cand find out my heritage?!?! my parents say im irish but i dont know plz help

you arent irish if u wernt born there

you mean to say you have "irish heritage"

id say you shud ask your parents and other extended family for information on names of their parents etc

grandparents are also a help here..

then go on geneology websites..there are ways definitely ..they could ahve come over during thefamine which was more then 100 yrs ago. that mit be hard to trace so dnt expect immiediate results!

My personal info (and yours/ your parents) is not online. Any info about someone alive can be misused for id theft, or other issues.  So.. no.. there is not a website where you can do it, like you are asking.

You HAVE to find your lineage at home, first. This is using records that your parents (grandparents) are likely to have..birth/death certificates, so forth. You get 'back' to a point where the people are not living, then access records about them.. example, where they were born. Your Irish ancestor might have come to the US in the late 1800s, or maybe the early 1700s.

I can give you some links. You'd have to get to people born in 1930 by asking your parents and grandparents about names, ages and birthplaces. After that you'd have to spend 2 - 3 hours, 3 - 4 times a week, doing research. At the end of a month you'd probably have 24 of your 32 great-great-great-grandparents.

If your parents admit you're Irish, you probably are.

Mine were everything but Irish (except for the Irish hidden in the closet!)

Check Ted's website for the basics of genealogy. You'll have a journey. It won't just be typing stuff in, but a discipline you develop that will lead you to understand all of your ancestors.
