  1. you should probably brief yourself on what to do

in volleyball , as in serve set, spike bump, dig ect,

also make sure to show effort! if theirs a ball coming

that isn't coming directly to you, dive for it! even if you miss

it completely or barely touch it, it'll still show effort that

    your going for that ball.

otherwise, just work on your overhand serve and bumping.

    goodluck<3

  2. bring kneepads otherwise your knees are gona KILL you! lol. therye cheap for like $5 at walmart. theres not really any tips i can think of to give you if i dont know you or see you in person, so maybe ask your friend for some?

  3. Well, yeah. You are right. You will most likely not make the team if you have only played a few times in P.E. You should of/should go to some camps or clinics that help learn to play better.

Coaches look for the players that:

    - Can pass and set balls good

    - Can serve good

    - Are leaders and are loud

    - Have played in clubs or other camps before

    - Know the rules and positions

Also, make sure to wear knee high socks, knee pads, and semi short shorts. They really help

    Good luck.

  4. Make sure you have a decent serve overhanded or underhanded.

Set up the ball well and show good teamwork.

    Good luck!

  5. if ive learned anything in my 4 years... its to be confident. trust yourself.

but definitely bring kneepads. falling and sliding in the ground is so much more fun that you think it is before you start doing it. dont psyche yourself out.

the main part of the volleyball is the bumping. thats the one thing you need to be able to do no matter what. it can be used in almost any situation if you dont know of anything else to do. learn to control your bumps and you should be fine.

p.s.::: i cant set worth my life and ive gotten plenty of awards in the years ive been playing for my teamwork and endurance and agression. so if that makes you feel any better... =)

  6. Well.. you should expect a lot of conditioning, like running, suicides, scissors, high jumps etc...also expect the coaches be on top of you to know your basics like bump, set, spiking, serving, and hustling.  Also, besides offensive and defensive skills, they also look for good attitude, good sportsmanship, being a team player, and socializing with others.  Some of those girls WILL also be on the team so it is good to socialize and get to know how the vibe is between them.  Coaches will pick a girl who is a team player and is not that very good than a girl who thinks shes the center of attention but an excellent player.  Doing a baseball reference, look what happened to manny ramirez.  He is a great player but because of his "ways" of doing things (ie threatening people) he got traded to the dodgers.  Well, back to volleyball, do your best and give all you got!
