I have copied a disk as an image file and burnt it but it won't open and I have copied it as iso files and it still won't open. All files are exactly the same size. The disc is NOT encrypted or an illegal copy. I have used Nero and IMGburn plus others nothing is producing a working copy.Help please

  1. Your problem is you need to trick your computer into thinking that the ISO are actually a cd, go to this site below, it's a virtual drives so once you load the ISO in there, it will make your computer think that data is on a cd, which it isn't but it will load on your virtual drive like you actually set the cd.  Make sure you find out how to use it, and set the drives to make sure it's done right, follow instructions and you shoud be good to go....

I hope you aren't burning copyrighted materials, that's illegal, but yeah, that's what you need.

  2. use daemontools, magicISO, or powerISO

these will allow you to mount the ISO image to a virtual drive and access it through "my computer" as if it were in a cd or dvd drive.

  3. Download and install Infra Recorder, a free and open source image burning program.

#Insert a blank CD in the drive and select Do nothing or Cancel if an autorun dialog pops up.

    # Open Infra Recorder, and select the 'Actions' menu, then 'Burn image'.

    # Select the ISO image file you want to use, then click 'Open'.

    # In the dialog, click 'OK'.

  4. It is possible the media is corrupted. If corruption occurs in any section of the media files it will not be able to be opened regardless of the tools or utilities you use. ImgBurn is a superior application that can handle anything from small to large projects. If ImgBurn failed to create what you needed it is possibly corrupt.

ImgBurn has a user forum where highly experienced users of the application and the types of projects it handles, can help those with less experience and/or technical issues.

Here is the official ImgBurn website:

    http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=dow...

Look at the top menu bar. You will see links to the Guide and to the User Forums. I found just searching the forum solved my issue back when I began with ImgBurn. However, the tutorial will have a lot of help too. I think asking at a forum is a good idea. These folks create all sorts of projects from boot recovery disks, OS installation disks, to a simply direct copy of a disk to another disk, etc. ImgBurn is an intuitive utility that seems to just "know" what it is that needs to be done, but sometimes additional settings must be configured in the options dialog.

I have found ImgBurn worked when both Nero and Roxio failed miserably. That is bad because you have to buy both Nero and Roxio one way or another, either by purchasing hardware which includes one of these suits, or directly buying a suite, while ImgBurn is totally free.

Good luck and have a nice day.
