Image bigger than screen

Projector: Epson S5When I try to project a presentation on the screen, the image size is way bigger than the screen. I've tried zooming but it the minimum size is still bigger. 1. Do I need to change the resolution on my laptop? 2. Is there a control on the projector that can help this?
