  1. 1. No.  It increases the molecular energy of the solvent and the solute.

    2.  A saturated solution is one that cannot take any more of the solute into solution.  Adding more solute just creates more precipitate.


  2. heat activates the dissolving process because the molecules of the liquid are more agitated which facilitate the dissociation of the solid molecules and its associating with the molecules of the solvent.

    A saturated solution is a solution that can not dissolve any further quantity of the matter that you dissolved in it.

  3. 1) No, it changes the free energy of the system (equilibrium constant).  Usually heating the solution never approaches the melting point of the substance.

    2) A solution that cannot dissolve anymore solute.  Also it is in equilibrium with the solid/gas that is dissolved in it.
