  1. My opinion.....they are NOT safe and they are not even proven to work. This I have found out from extensive research given by medical doctors. My doctor said even though you get immunized you can still get the disease. So why do it. Better safe than sorry....that depends on your opinion of SAFE to me is DON'T do it. I was in an office ready to get my third child immunized and guess what; the baby before her died from the shot. I was young at the time and was told it was a fluke. I wish I would have paid attention more because they pulled all those shots with that lot number. Well they were supposed to but some medical attendants don't want to waste what they think is good. If one child dies so what if you can save 10. What if you child is that one child....would you do it? Well anyway alexis got the shots because they made me feel like a bad parent and she has severe asthma. Is this just a coincidence ? I don't think so. When I had my twins I was forced into giving them a set a shot because the doctor said her found the disease present in one of them....that was a lie. They gave them almost the same shots but the twin that they said had the disease didn't have to have the one shot. After the fact the second twin that had the extra shot screamed inconsolable for hours and we couldn't comfort her. Finally when weeks had passed we noticed a complete personality change in the twin that had the extra shot and she seamed to have more issues. Was this a coincidence ? We didn't give any of the rest of my children the shots and not only do they not ever get that sick they haven't had any of the diseases.

Do I know with out a doubt shots kill more babies than we all know about? Yes they do . Are they overrated and are new shots developed all the time? Yes they are. Are your children safer if you get the shots , NO.

Do you have to give your kids the shots to get into school?  absolutely NOT. You simply do not know the law. When you do and look up how you can be exempt from giving your kids the shots you can simply take that to the school and say it is your right to decide. My children are enrolled in public school and GUESS WHAT....they DON"T have the shots.

Medical doctors are not bad and when they give your children the shots they truly believe it is the best thing to do.

If you still chose to  give the shots wait until they are older...5 to 6. Their bodies can had those diseases better with a bigger body.

Here is the bottom line ....You  are the parent and it is your responsibility to find out for yourself if the shots are something you will do because you are told to  OR will you chose to know what the shots are made of and do they work. Will you just put the life of your child in someone else's hands and say THEY know what is best for my child. OR will you make that choice based on knowledge you have acquired through research. Don't  just go  by what the medical world tells you...search the other side. Those searches will lead you to a world of information you didn't know existed....and when you do the decision you make on your own will be an informed one.

    Not a dictated one.

    Knowledge is power.

  2. are you a doctor, no. doctors say theyre a good idea

  3. In most states you can't enroll your child unless your child has had all the necessary vaccines.

  4. I think the risks of not immunizing are greater than the risk of immunizing.

  5. Better safe than sorry!

  6. It is absolutely false that you cannot enroll your child in school. That is such an untruth!

I'm not a big fan, however I have had mine vaccinated for tetanus since we live in the country and have animals.

Go to this site, and read up so you can make your own informed decision. There is a lot to find out about this subject.

what is right for one family, might not be for another..it's up to the parent to find out everything they can and then make an intelligent decision for their child.

  7. I believe that each family has to make their own decision.  It is unfortunate that childhood diseases such as measles are on the rise because of lack of immunizations.  Our doc lost a patient because the parents would not immunize.

  8. I did all the immunizations with my son, but I was a little wary.

If you have a very strong opinion about it, you CAN still put your son in public school in some areas.  It requires notes from doctors and such but it's possible.  My brother in law was not immunized and went to public school.

It's basically at your own risk.  Probably 99.9% of kids are immunized, so if your son contracted measles, no one else would.  Most of our parents lived through measles -- that was the immunization!

  9. It is the parents choice but you are possibly risking their lives if you do not get your child imunimized. Also, many schools and clubs do not except children without them, so I do reccomend parents to get their child imunimized.

  10. Most schools will not let the child begin in a school setting without them.

  11. Schools require them or they won't enroll your child. Immunizations are safe for your child. I just asked my son's doctor this past week about all the scares you hear regarding autism or other things setting in because of them. The internet is basically full of c**p that is not true.  The doctor told me that in order for a child to actually be autistic etc... your child has to carry the gene in them all ready because somewhere on one side or the other with parents someone carries the gene regardless if they have it or not. No shot in the world is going to make your child come down with an incureable condition.  while there may be some side effects like lowgrade fevers, tiredness, red itchy or swollen skin at the injection site, soreness etc.. these things are common with any shot, even in adults.

The bottom line is, it is better to head off illnesses with a simple shot than put your child through the risk of contracting them from school or other settings. There are some illnesses that can get serious and preventing them is less risk than taking your chance with an illness.  You can always refuse any shot that you don't want for your child OR ask your child's doctor to space them out so they don't have too many big ones all at once,  but schools now require:

    Hepatitus A and B

    Polio

    Tetnaus

    Chicken Pox

    MMR

    and the general boosters

There is one booster that I can't remember the medical name of right now, that actually helps prevent inner ear infections and problems which can be very problematic in young kids. Rotavirus is one that they drink like sugar water in 3 different visits.  That disease can be really bad if they get it and sometimes fatal if left untreated.   I guess I look at it that an ounce of prevention is worth the pound of cure.
