In Volleyball.....?

Question

When you serve, where do you hit it with your hand? I am playing and our first tournament is the 26th and I do not know where to hit it with your hand... same with spiking.

hit it with your hand..but i really cool thing to try to master is the whole snapping your wrist thing....it def helps and can put an awesome spin on the ball and make it curve at the last second...

I think you are pretty much there, based on the picture you provided. A little to the right side would give you more control. Make sure you have all your fingers on the ball while the "sweet-spot" provides the driving force.

Palm of your hand so it comes in direct contact. If you hit it with the heal of your hand, you have less control.

you do hit it with your hand. you throw the ball up in the air, and then hit it with the center of your hand. Same with spiking! i hope that helped you!

i play volleyball too and u are supposed to hit it with the top part of your wrist for serving and for spiking

use your whole hand. before place ur hand on the ball and concentrate on the way ur hand curves. dont use ur wrist or the tips of ur fingers. and in spiking same thing. just make sure u swing ur arm fast!

in serving u want to hit it in the middle of ur palm and make sure u dont twist ur hand, it will throw it off. also when serving dont follow through and try to hit the ball when its up high. in spiking u also want to hit it with the middle of ur hand, but follow through so it goes toward the ground. u can also tip which is a spike but softer. setting is when u use ur fingertips, and passing is when u use ur arms. make sure ur arms are straight and ur thumbs are pointing straight down and ur arm platform is flat.lock your elbows too.  aim ur feet toward ur target. some people think u should clasp ur hands together but u really should put one hand inside the other so your knuckles dont hit the ball if ur pass went wrong.

if u are starting with serves, i suggest beginning with under-hand, then move on to over-hand.

spiking is the same: heal of your hand

when hitting reach as high as you can and get a good snap, which means cup the middle top of the ball, and make sure to follow through. NEVER HIT WITH YOUR HEELS IDIOTS you wont get any spin and its inacurrate.

well, our coach tells us to hit it with the palm and heal of the the hand & to always make sure to follow through!! it really does work! make sure your elbow is somewhere level to your ear and not too low. don't cross your chest, it just goes off to the side.  and for spiking, make sure to snap your wrist. i had some trouble with that for a while but finally got it down when i really practiced. so it might take a while for them both to be really good and for you to get the hang of it, but i will be worth it. oh, and DON'T use your fist when serving. it doesn't work. and is just extremely annoying. it might even be illegal.
