  1. Redoing a bad shot without penalty. No applicable for tournament play but for practice.

  2. It's a poor excuse for hitting an extra ball because of a previous, poorly struck golf ball. I used to play with guys that referred to it as a "breakfast ball", a free shot on the first tee.

  3. It is just like a do-over, the first shot never existed.

  4. its a term played on the first tee or played i mulligan per nine holes

  5. taking your tee shot over.  You ignore your first tee shot on the hole because it was a lousy shot.

  6. You may call it a mulligan, but real golfers call it "hitting three"

  7. The term "mulligan" in golf is a second shot allowed by an opponent and not counted on the score, when the first shot was hideously muffed (or missed altogether). Usually it happens on the drive, although not always. Needless to say, ignoring the first stroke happens only in "friendly" golf, not in professional or "serious" golf. Tiger Woods is not given mulligans when he plays tournaments.

  8. In golf a mulligan is cheating.

  9. When you want another shot due to disliking the one you just hit

  10. Its a do over.

  11. A do over.......or not counting the shot you just took

  12. Basically it means a "Do OVER", like.. let's pretend that didn't happen

  13. I am the Mulligan Man!

  14. Richard Mulligan from TV's Empty Nest...but he's dead now, so that's in his memory.

  15. A do-over
