In my Dreams?

In my dreams, I usually dream of violence and killing. I also occasionally yell and say bad things out loud. I've asked and told people about it and they've all agreed that since I'm always in a nice mood, I express my anger in my sleep. Would this be true? Is their a name for it?

  1. It seems clear that you have a lot of emotional damage stored away. Violence and killing in a dream are a sign of this. You didn't state whether the violence was directed at you or at others; the full meaning of the dream depends partly on where the violence is coming from.

Your unconscious mind wants you to know what is down there and expresses it when it has a chance--when you are sleeping. Expressing your anger is not the same as dealing with it.

You don't state whether your sleep is interrupted by the dreams or outbursts, but I'd suggest a few (6) exploratory sessions with a therapist, based on the fact that these dreams and the yelling have apparently continued over a long period of time.

    Be well.

  2. that's very weird, and the word is sleep talking, sorry to be rude but umm..there is no other words 4 it

  3. Take into account where it is you are expressing your anger. Keep a journal because there is probably somewhere in your life that your dreams are showing you that you are feeling upset about... and maybe because of your "nice moods" you don't want to say anything to "complain" but never then less you are feeling something is unjustified. Your journal will help you see where and what that is if you are willing.

It's great that you are normally in a good mood and maybe you don't know how to express how you feel or you don't allow yourself to feel the more hurtful or negative emotions.

The key is balance, you don't want to dream angry dreams all the time.. best wishes. Positive outlooks are very important in life and it sounds like you have one but you still are entitled to understand what you may be angry about and work it out instead of trying to deal with those emotions in your dream life.

  4. Yes but I don't know if their is a name for it

  5. To dream that you kill someone, indicates that heavy stress may cause you to lose your temper and self-control.  Consider the person you have killed and ask yourself if you feel any rage towards him or her in your waking life. You may very well be expressing some anger or hatred toward this person. Alternatively, you may be trying to kill or put an end to an aspect of yourself that is represented by the person killed. Identify the characteristics of this person and ask yourself how you do not want to be like him or her.

To dream that you have been killed, suggests that your actions are disconnected from your emotions. Alternatively, it refers to drastic changes that are happening in your life.

This dream may also represent a part of you or your life that you wish would leave you alone and stop creating a nuisance. Killing may represent the killing off of old parts of yourself and old habits.

To see a killer in your dream, suggests that an essential aspect of your emotions have been cut off.  You feel that you are losing your identity and your individuality. Alternatively, this dream may represent purification and the healing process. You are standing up for yourself and putting a dramatic end to something.
