In the cockpit?

Hi, i should be going on a flight to Egypt in June, From KCLE to KJFK to France then to HECA (Egypt) from KJFK to France we should be going in a 747 or 777, and from France to HECA i think a 737. Ive seen videos of people in the cockpit with the pilots, like in the back seat, observing, and since i want to be a pilot and all, and im taking lessons, i was wondering if i could possible be able to be in the cockpit while they are flying. I know its probably unlikely due to what has happened over the years.. by the way, im 13 (14 in june)

Also, for pilots, if this was possible, do you guys (or girls) think the pilot feel comfortable with me being there?

Thanks in Advance!!

  1. well first i think that they will be much more strict about this every where in the world, but they could check, since i mean its not like you're going to take out two fully grown guys. But the thing is that they may think of you as a nuisance (no offence) but it's like adults won't like take you too seriously, they may think you're going to be annoying them.

but hey, give it a try, i dunno, ask an air hostess or something if you could.

  2. sorry you aren't able to go into the cockpit anymore

  3. This is no longer permitted in the United States.

  4. It will depend on the regulations of the airline and the country that it is based out of.  Check with the airline on the France to Egypt leg of your flight they may be more willing.  As for the other jerk who said h**l no, when I was flying I didn't mind someone in the jump seat but then I flew mostly cargo on smaller planes.

  5. No unauthorized personnel are allowed into the Flight Deck area. What you probably watched was a pilot getting a "check ride" where he was being evaluated by the IP sitting in the jump seat.
