  1. A Night at the Opera is my favorite album by Queen. "The Prophet's Song" is my favorite. I remember the first time I heard it because my stomach started hurting (in a good way) and my eyes started watering, and I thought to myself "Wow, this is truly brilliant music right here." It took my breath away and reminded me of how magical music must be to be able to make me feel like that. "Love of My Life" is another favorite. Something in the beautiful melody and the way they harmonize just makes my heart melt every time I listen to it. And I hate to disappoint you, but I cannot deny that "Bohemian Rhapsody" is an epic masterpiece and it's understandable why so many people call it their favorite. It's almost as though the story of the song is taken right out of Edgar Allan Poe's journal! It's such wonderful dark romanticism, and Freddie captured the imagery within his amazing mind quite perfectly.

  2. I really like '39 too!  I didn't think that many people liked it!  Yay!

True, I like the big name songs like Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You/We are the Champions, Under Pressure, and Somebody to Love, but I also like Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Save Me, Seven Seas of Rhye, and Spread Your Wings.

  3. A lot of their best stuff didn't get much air play.

  4. "We Will Rock You"

    "Under Pressure" w/ David Bowie

    "The Show Must Go On"

    "Seven Seas of Rhye"

    "Killer Queen"

    "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"

    "Breakthru"

    "Bohemian Rhapsody"

    "Bicycle Race"

    "Another One Bites the Dust"

And though it's not exactly Queen, I have to throw in the unforgettable "Barcelona" by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé.

  5. In the year of '39 assembled here the voulenteers,

in the days when the lands were few,

here a ship sailed out into the blue and sunny morn,

    sweetest sight ever seen...

Wow... i was just listening to that as i found this... =]

According to Roger taylor, the solo in Seaside Rendezvouz was actually done without instruments. for example, they put thimbles on thier fingers and tapped it on the table, Freddie did the woodwind orchestra (with his mouth - no instruments) and Roger did the brass (the same way). Brilliant, isn't it?!

i can't really pick favourites. They're all my favourites. Sheer Heart Attack is my favourite album, and my favourite song from that is Brighton Rock, but that's not to say that it is my favurite song.

i'm really obsessed with Queen. i found out today, that we are doing Queen as a subject in music. i am soooooo happy! We have an Assessment on Bohemian Rhapsody! YAY!! They showed us a picture of Queen, and i tols them exactly what it was, what year it was taken, everything. i really am obsessed.

    =]

  6. ''Fight From The Inside'' and ''Dragon Attack''

  7. Has been and always will be One Vision

    Fried Chicken FTW

  8. Right now it's "I'm In Love with My Car" and "Stone Cold Crazy"

  9. Ha! Are you serious? My 5 favorite Queen songs are, in order, The Prophet's Song, Death On Two Legs, Seaside Rendezvous, '39, and Brighton Rock! So, that's practically the same as your list... :)

  10. I love it too! BR is crazy cool, though.
